My Review of Instablade Credit Card Knife

This post is to discuss the Instablade Credit Card Knife and my experience with it.

Instablade Knife closed

The Instablade Credit Card Knife is a knife that folds into the shape of a credit card. You can slip it into a wallet or pocket, without it cutting anything because of the ingenious design. This enables you to have it handy for opening or cutting things as well as for personal protection. It opens in just a few seconds and closes just as easily. It has built in safety features that lock the blade in place. It also has a built in handle so that you do not cut yourself.

When the knife is folded, there is a little circle with a flat edge that acts as a safety sheath. You slide the circle around over top the blade and it locks it in place. When you want to open the knife, you simply rotate the circle around to the flat side and the blade will come out. Once you open the blade, you fold back the other pieces and they clip together to make the handle.

It is made of stainless steel, to be durable and rust free. The plastic handle and the clips are waterproof and won't rust like metal mechanisms. The Instablade Credit Card Knife is only 2mm thick, approximately 1/10 the thickness of an ordinary utility knife. It is sharp and easy to use.
