The gnome features a weighted bottom, which allows him to remain seated without falling over like cheaper stuffed decor often does. Upon examining this adorable creation, it is evident that it is made with caring and love. 7ProductGroup designed these gnomes to provide years and years of enjoyment.

History of the Gnome What is a gnome? A gnome is also called a Tomte or Nisse. Not many people have seen them, because they are shy and live quietly in the woods. They are known only to live in Smaland... or maybe it is thought so because they have not been spotted elsewhere.
According to Scandinavian folklore, gnomes are bearded men whom guard homes, farms and children. They do this particularly at night.
#7ProductGroup also has a children's story featuring a gnome. I read it to my 6 year old daughter Willow. She loved the cute story, especially the German Shepherd featured in the tale (because we have Shepherds on our farm)!

Here is Willow talking about the gnome that I got her (the grey seated one with dangling legs):
She loves holding her gnome while we read stories together. The story Allen and The Nordic Gnome along with one of these handmade cuties is a great gift item for children. It encourages reading (a lost art desperately in read of a revival!) and gives them a tangible object to help them relate to the story.
